The walls of the Net Zero are hung with work by Barcelona-based artists.
Yuya Yoshimatsu
Japan, based in Barcelona · Oil on canvas, murals and graphic design
Yuya Yoshimatsu is a Japanese painter from Fukuoka, based in Barcelona. For years he signed his work as pen public: murals, art direction for brands and shops, graphic design and music with the CCS records collective.
His Lines and Colors series always begins the same way: a single coloured line running horizontally across the canvas. He then layers lines in other colours on top until the canvas is completely full. As he draws, he says, he thinks about the people he has met along the way. He has exhibited in Kyoto, Taiwan, Fukuoka and Tokyo.
Argentinian, based in Barcelona · Indian ink, engraving, cyanotype and tattoo
Mai Solsona is a visual artist and singer. Born in Argentina and based in Barcelona, she works across Indian ink on paper, engraving on mirror and glass, cyanotype and tattooing.
On these walls: ink and coloured-pencil drawings, plus a hand-engraved piece on an antique frame. A quick line, almost a single gesture, with the white of the paper doing as much work as the ink.
